Hurun Research Institute released the top 100 foreign capital and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan enterprises in China in 2021

On November 18, the 2021 Jiaxing Hurun Fortune 500 Summit Forum was held in Shanghai. During the forum, Hurun Research Institute released the top 100 foreign-funded and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan enterprises in China in 2021, listing the top 100 foreign-funded and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan enterprises that contribute the most to China’s economy. According to the list, Hon Hai Precision ranked first, Volkswagen ranked second and General Motors ranked third.
Last year, the sales of top 100 enterprises in China totaled 5.9 trillion yuan, equivalent to 6% of China’s annual GDP, with an average annual sales of 59 billion yuan per enterprise. There are 2.5 million employees in China, with an average of 25000 employees per enterprise. 61% are directly oriented to consumers and 39% are B2B enterprises. 82% sold physical products and 18% sold software or services. The automobile, health care, consumer goods and consumer electronics industries have the most enterprises on the list, and the top four industries account for half of the top 100. The average age is 91 years old and has been in China for an average of 57 years.
The top 100 enterprises come from 15 countries, of which 34 are from the United States; Followed by 14 in Japan, Britain and Germany tied for the third place, with 12 respectively and 8 in France. There are three enterprises in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
