Tesla has recalled two more batches of cars in the United States, this time to solve the problem of seat belts

Tencent technology news on June 3, electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla announced on Wednesday that it would recall nearly 6000 vehicles in the United States due to possible loosening of brake caliper bolts. On Thursday local time, Tesla filed another filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), saying it would recall two batches of cars again, this time to solve the problem of seat belts.
In the new filing, Tesla’s first recall involves 5530 vehicles, including model 3 from 2018 to 2020 and model y from 2019 to 2021. The problem is that the fasteners that fasten the front seat shoulder belt to the B-pillar may not be connected properly.
The second recall involved 2166 model y vehicles produced between 2019 and 2021 because the fasteners that secure the left and right seat belt retractors of the second row seats may not be properly connected. Tesla said it had not received any reports of crashes or injuries related to the recall.
Tesla will check and replace the fasteners as necessary to confirm that they are properly secured. Tesla added that if the B-pillar hole thread or top ring is found damaged during the inspection, Tesla services will repair it, although this is unlikely to happen.
Tesla said that in the assembly process, if the workers can not meet the specified torque and angle requirements while fixing the front seat fasteners, it will cause production problems, and the fasteners need to be manually inspected and repaired later. During this inspection, the fasteners may not be fixed properly.
Tesla has recalled three times this week due to production problems. On Wednesday, NHTSA confirmed that Tesla will recall 5974 model 3 and model y cars from 2019 to 2021 in the United States because brake caliper bolts may be loose, which may lead to lower tire pressure.
At the same time, Tesla motor (Beijing) Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of market supervision and administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall management of defective automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall management of defective automobile products, and decided to recall two batches of imported vehicles from now on.
Among them, the first batch involves 311 imported model 3 electric vehicles produced from January 12, 2019 to November 20, 2019. The second batch involves 423 imported model 3 electric vehicles produced from February 2, 2019 to November 20, 2019( Tencent technology reviser / Jinlu)
