Tencent is reported to be considering bidding for French mobile game distribution company voodoo

Voodoo’s masterpieces include “roller splat” and “snake vs block”. Taking into account Tencent’s $2.5 billion stake (about $2.5 billion), people familiar with the matter said.
Other companies are also bidding for shares in voodoo, so it is uncertain whether Tencent will eventually make a deal with voodoo, people familiar with the matter said.
In addition, Ubisoft entertainment and Zynga are also interested in acquiring a stake in voodoo. In May, it was reported that the value of voodoo had reached more than $1.6 billion.
Currently, a majority stake in voodoo is held by CO founders Alexandre Yazdi and Laurent Ritter. In addition, West Street capital partners, a private equity arm of Goldman Sachs, also owns some shares.
At present, Tencent is developing mobile game business in other markets outside China to further diversify its revenue. Tencent and voodoo have not commented on the report. (Li Ming)
