In mid March this year, due to the spread of new coronavirus pneumonia, we announced the cancellation of Consumer Electronics Asia 2020. Today, the consumer Technology Association of the United States (CTA) officially announced the suspension of the Asian consumer electronics show.
Since the first Asian consumer electronics show was held in Shanghai in 2015, with the concern and support of all sectors of society, the scale of the exhibition has been expanded year by year and has achieved great success. However, as organizers and industry associations, we need to take full account of the changes and needs of the industry, as well as the current top priorities of members and exhibitors to evaluate any of our activities. At present, as the epidemic continues to develop, the global economy faces the risk of recession, and our identity as an American industry organization, we will focus on CES related activities and projects to better serve the interests of the industry and encourage technological innovation to make our lives healthier, safer and happier.
Here, we would like to express our special thanks to INTEX Shanghai, our partners who have given us selfless support in the past few years, as well as the special co organizers, China Electronic Chamber of Commerce (CECC) and China Chamber of Commerce for import and export of mechanical and electrical products (CCCME).
