Visual China said its revenue and net profit declined in the first half of 2019 due to the impact of the incident and the change in the scope of consolidated statements caused by the divestiture of the billion-fast asset group at the end of 2018. Among them, visual content and service, the core business of the company, achieved 398 million yuan in revenue, an increase of 0.1% over the same period of last year. During the reporting period, core industries accounted for 99% of the total revenue of listed companies.
The company said that although the 411 incident has a certain impact on the company’s performance in the short term, in the long run, it is conducive to the optimization of the company’s business model and the promotion of core competitiveness such as content, technology and customer acquisition.
The semi-annual report also discloses that in the first half of 2019, the company’s technology research and development system completed the business model of “big platform, small front desk”. There are three kinds of data in the company’s data background: content data, user behavior data and content usage scenario data.
Among them, content data includes more than 200 million pictures, videos and music content data, 2.2 million structured tag libraries and knowledge maps, and more than 6 billion content application tags.
